Watermael-Boitsfort
Belgium
Municipality in the south-eastern corner of the Brussels-Capital Region, Watermael-Boitsfort is one of the least urbanised of Brussels' nineteen communes, with more than half its territory covered by the Sonian Forest. The forested character keeps population density well below the Brussels average while giving residents and visitors direct access to woodland. The municipality also records the highest average annual income in the region, reflecting its character as a quieter, greener alternative to the denser neighbourhoods closer to the city centre.
