This little Brussels municipality is defined by the National Basilica of the Sacred Heart, one of the largest Catholic churches in the world, which rises above the surrounding streets of the Brussels-Capital Region. Compact and well-connected via the Simonis and Elisabeth metro stations, Koekelberg sits in the north-western part of the region, bordered by several neighbouring municipalities and within reach of the wider city's food, culture, and heritage.
