Fobello

Vercelli · Italy

Fobello, a small village in Piedmont's Valsesia valley, is the birthplace of both Vincenzo Lancia (1881–1937) and his son Gianni Lancia (1924–2014), the automotive engineers behind the Lancia marque. Set at the end of the Val Mastallone, the village sits within mountain terrain, with part of its territory falling inside the Alta Val Sesia and Alta Val Strona natural park. Several churches serve a community of well under five hundred people.
