Mjøstårnet, the world's tallest glulam timber structure, stands in this small Norwegian town on the eastern shore of Lake Mjøsa, a short distance north of Hamar. Brumunddal sits at the mouth of the river Brumunda where it meets the lake, with a compact central core of cafés and restaurants close to the water. The town is also the hometown of the creator of Grandiosa, one of Norway's most popular frozen pizza brands.
