Sitting at the confluence of the Dokka and Etna rivers, just north of Randsfjorden — the fourth-largest lake in Norway — this tiny village in Innlandet serves as the administrative centre of Nordre Land Municipality and a commercial hub for the surrounding area. In August 2009 it became Norway's first official designated village (landsby). The Østsinni Church stands on the village's northern edge, and a summer festival, Sommerdager, takes place each June.
