Brihuega
Guadalajara · Spain
A pocket-sized Spanish town in Guadalajara province crossed by the River Tajuña, Brihuega saw two significant military engagements on its ground: a hard-fought 1710 battle between Lord Stanhope's forces and the Franco-Spanish army during the War of the Spanish Succession, and further fighting during the Spanish Civil War's Battle of Guadalajara.
