Antrodoco
Rieti · Italy
A pocket-sized Lazio village in the mountains of the Rieti province, Antrodoco sits at the water's edge and holds several historic churches for a settlement of its size. Its name derives from the Latin for "between the mountains," and the town carries a place in Italian history as the site of the Battle of Antrodoco in March 1821, considered the first engagement of the Risorgimento.
