Civita Castellana
Viterbo · Italy
Built on the ruins of Falerii Veteres, an ancient Faliscan city, Civita Castellana is a small town in northern Lazio with a real café and restaurant scene for its size and a strong photographic profile. The site preserves temple areas, necropolises, and sanctuaries spanning the Iron and Bronze Ages, and Mount Soracte rises a short distance to the south-east. The town sits within a wider region ringed by UNESCO World Heritage sites.
