Villmar, a little market village on the Lahn river in Hesse, is the historic centre of quarrying and processing Lahn Marble, a distinctive regional stone. The compact core has cafés and restaurants, and the surrounding area offers scenic viewpoints and proximity to the wider Lahn valley, which is ringed by UNESCO World Heritage sites in the region.
