This photogenic tiny town in the Bavarian Alps at the northern end of the Königssee, a fjord-like lake reaching depths of up to 190 metres and home to the church of St. Bartholomä. The surrounding mountain terrain offers multiple scenic viewpoints, and the town has a solid café and restaurant scene for its size. Several UNESCO World Heritage sites lie within the wider region.
