San Javier y Yacanto
San Javier · Argentina
This little village in Córdoba's Traslasierra Valley at the foot of the Sierras Grandes, San Javier y Yacanto sits beside a river with a municipal bathing area and serves as a base for hiking and horse-riding routes toward Cerro Champaquí. The settlement formed in the late 19th century around English railway workers, and several houses in the English style remain alongside traditional inns, the church of San Francisco Javier, and the historic Hotel Yacanto.
