A small town in Argentina's Calamuchita Valley where the Río Santa Rosa runs through the centre, Santa Rosa de Calamuchita sits among the Sierras Cordobesas with a café and restaurant scene that punches above its size. Tourism drives much of the local economy, and the surrounding hills, rivers, and lakes make the valley a draw year-round. Villa General Belgrano and Embalse are nearby, the latter home to a nuclear power plant.
