Ratchaburi

This riverside town in western Thailand, Ratchaburi sits along the Mae Klong River with a walkable centre full of cafés and restaurants. Its history stretches back to the Dvaravati period, and it later became a significant trade centre during the Ayutthaya era. The Tanao Si Mountains rise to the west toward the Myanmar border, giving the wider area a varied landscape of river basin, farmland, and highland terrain.
