One of Brazil's busiest beach cities, Praia Grande sits on the southern coast of São Paulo state and draws well over a million visitors each summer season — ranking it among the country's top tourist destinations during peak months, behind only São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, and Florianópolis. The city has a walkable seafront lined with cafés and restaurants, and has been one of the fastest-growing coastal cities in the Baixada Santista region.
