Malayer

Iran

Malayer, a city in Iran's Hamadan province, holds two notable designations: it is Iran's national city of furniture and inlaid woodwork, and its grapes have been recognised by the FAO as a world grape city. The city sits in mountain terrain with a moderate climate, cold snowy winters, and fertile vineyards in the surrounding countryside. Seyfieh Park is its oldest historical park, and the area also contains an underground city from the Parthian period at Samen.
