Lebrija

Sevilla · Spain

Lebrija, a town on the left bank of the Guadalquivir in Andalusia's Sevilla province, sits at the edge of the Las Marismas marshes and has a long tradition of pottery and earthenware, including the distinctive búcaros vessels. Winemaking — particularly Manzanilla and other fino styles — is also a local staple, and the surrounding agricultural land is historically noted as among the first in Europe to cultivate corn brought from the Americas.
