Kranjska Gora

Slovenia

A winter sports hub in northwestern Slovenia's Upper Carniola region, Kranjska Gora sits on the Sava Dolinka River near the point where Austria, Italy, and Slovenia meet. The village hosts major international alpine skiing competitions at Vitranc and ski jumping events at Planica, and its surrounding slopes, cable cars, and networks of cycling and walking paths draw visitors across both winter and summer seasons. The nearby lake at Jasna adds a scenic focal point along the road toward the Vršič pass.
