Kowloon City District

One of Hong Kong's 18 districts, Kowloon City sits along the waterfront in central Kowloon and takes in a range of well-known neighbourhoods — Ho Man Tin, Hung Hom, Kowloon Tong, To Kwa Wan, and the former Kai Tak Airport site, now the subject of a major redevelopment plan since the airport relocated in 1998. Primarily residential, the district has a notably high income level for Kowloon and a well-educated population, with housing ranging from old tenement buildings to private villas.
