Kiyosu, a town in Aichi Prefecture, was the base and castle town of the warlord Oda Nobunaga during Japan's Sengoku period, and served as the political centre of Owari until Tokugawa Ieyasu ordered the relocation known as the Kiyosu-goshi in the Edo period. Kiyosu Castle remains the town's defining landmark today.
