A walkable Piedmontese town in the province of Cuneo, Fossano has a centre dense with historic churches and cafés, set against a backdrop of surrounding vineyards. The town sits on the main railway line between Turin and Cuneo, making it straightforwardly accessible, and is home to major Italian confectionery producers Balocco and Maina.
