This small Andean district village in Peru's Anta Province, Chinchaypujio sits in mountain terrain where the Apurímac River crosses its southern reaches. A trade road connecting the Cusco and Apurímac departments runs through the district from north to south, and the village hosts a weekly market. Cusco, with its surrounding UNESCO World Heritage sites, lies roughly two hours away by road.
