Chambord
Canada
Val-Jalbert, a historic village within Chambord's municipal boundaries, is the main draw to this tiny Quebec community on the shores of Lac-Saint-Jean, in the Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean region. Founded in 1845 and named in honour of Henri d'Artois, the comte de Chambord and French throne claimant of the time, the municipality also has a footnote in science: a meteorite was found nearby in 1904.
