Arbon
Switzerland
A lakeside modest town on the southern shore of Lake Constance in the canton of Thurgau, Arbon has a café and restaurant scene that is well stocked for its size, alongside a waterfront promenade and an old town anchored by a castle and tower that trace back to a Late Roman fortification. Evidence of settlement here reaches back some 6,500 years, and the town was known in Roman times as Arbor Felix. The wider region is ringed by UNESCO World Heritage sites.
