Zvecan

This modest town in northern Kosovo's mountain terrain, Zvecan sits on the water between Mitrovica and the Novi Pazar region, with a Serbian Orthodox monastery on the ridge above the eastern part of the settlement. The municipality is part of North Kosovo, an area with an ethnic Serb majority, and the wider region is ringed by UNESCO World Heritage sites.
