Yemen
A coastal port town in south-central Yemen, Zinjibar sits beside the Wadi Bana in the Abyan Delta, with mountains visible from the town and the sea within walking distance. It served as the administrative capital of the Fadhli Sultanate from 1962 to 1967, supports a modest seaside resort and fishing industry, and has a market where cotton grown in the surrounding delta is traded.
