At the confluence of the Tauber and Main rivers in southwestern Baden-Württemberg, Wertheim am Main is a medieval town best known for its landmark castle and a walkable centre dense with cafés, churches, and half-timbered streets. Vineyards surround the town, and the rivers provide scenic viewpoints from multiple angles. It sits near the Bavarian border, roughly a short drive from Würzburg.
