A tiny Slovenian hamlet immediately east of the entrance to Postojna Cave, one of the world's most visited karst cave systems, with a second cave — Otok Cave — about a kilometre to the north. Two historic churches stand in the village, one dedicated to Saint Catherine and one to Saint Andrew. The hill of Kacul, rising just above the settlement, offers scenic viewpoints and a walking route through to Postojna.
