Varosia (Turkish: Maraş) is a ghost town in the southern part of Famagusta, Cyprus, that stood as the city's modern resort district before the 1974 Turkish invasion emptied it of residents and left it sealed under military occupation for decades. Reopened to visitors in 2020, it offers an eerie walk through abandoned streets, with a handful of cafés and restaurants, several historic churches, and mountain views in the surrounding area.
