Tykocin
Poland
This small Baroque town on the Narew river in north-eastern Poland, Tykocin holds a historic centre designated a Historic Monument of Poland, a well-preserved original street layout with a visible boundary between its former Jewish and Christian quarters, and a functioning synagogue that now operates as a museum. Polish kings and princes visited repeatedly over the centuries. For its size, it draws a notable café and restaurant scene and several historic churches.
