This little Portuguese town in the municipality of Alcácer do Sal where the Xarrama River runs through the centre, with vineyards in the surrounding countryside and a compact core of cafés and restaurants. The wider Setúbal district region holds UNESCO World Heritage sites, and the town sits within reach of the borders of both Évora and Beja.
