Songkhla
Songkhla · Thailand
Songkhla sits where Songkhla Lake opens into the Gulf of Thailand, giving this southern Thai provincial capital beaches on multiple sides — including Samila and Son Awn — alongside a walkable historic centre with cafés, restaurants, and green parks. The city is also the major seaport on the eastern side of the Isthmus of Kra, and functions as the administrative hub of the wider Hat Yai–Songkhla metropolitan area, with Hat Yai serving as the commercial centre nearby.
