Segorbe

Castellón/Castelló · Spain

Segorbe's September bull-running week (Semana de Toros) draws large crowds to this small Valencian town in the mountains of Castellón province. The old town centre, declared a protected cultural heritage site in its entirety, holds a concentration of historic architecture, including the former Palace of the Dukes of Medinaceli, now the town hall. Segorbe also serves as the seat of the diocese of Segorbe-Castellón, shared with Castellón de la Plana, and has a café-filled central core with scenic surroundings.
