This small municipality on the west bank of the Richelieu River in Quebec's Montérégie region, Saint-Roch-de-Richelieu is oriented around recreational boating, with marinas and services stretching along a long stretch of shoreline between Sorel-Tracy and Saint-Antoine-sur-Richelieu. Municipal parks, campgrounds, and renovated heritage buildings along the riverfront round out the offer, set against a backdrop of forest and farmland typical of the St. Lawrence plain.
