This dual-season mountain resort village in the Hautes-Pyrénées, Saint-Lary-Soulan draws skiers in winter to its slopes at Pla d'Adet and Espiaube, and hikers and cyclists in summer through the Aure Valley. The village sits within the Pyrénées National Park, alongside two Natura 2000 protected zones and the Néouvielle nature reserve. It hosted a stage of the 2024 Tour de France, and its compact centre has an unusually lively café and restaurant scene for a settlement of its size.
