Río Cuarto
Río Cuarto · Argentina
City in southern Córdoba province with a walkable centre full of cafés and restaurants, Río Cuarto sits on the banks of the Río Cuarto (also known as the Chocancharava) with the Sierra de Comechingones range visible to the west. The second-largest city in Córdoba province, it serves as a commercial and agricultural hub for the surrounding Pampas region and carries the informal nickname El Imperio — a nod to its independent character and rapid growth from the late 19th century onward.
