Queluz National Palace, an 18th-century royal pleasure palace in the Lisbon metropolitan area, is the main draw of this city within Sintra Municipality on the Portuguese Riviera. The palace shares the city with the Portuguese School of Equestrian Art. The Jamor river runs through Queluz, and the wider region is ringed by UNESCO World Heritage sites. Several notable Portuguese figures have lived here, including poet Ruy Belo and General Spínola.
