Village in the Kozani regional unit of Greek Macedonia sitting alongside the Polyfytos artificial lake and the foothills of the Pierian Mountains, Platanorrevma is named for the plane trees and streams that run through it. A hiking trail winds through the Tranos Lakkos gorge, passing waterfalls and streams before climbing into the Pierian range. The village was formed in 1946 from the merger of three settlements and has an active community life with several clubs.
