Perleberg

Germany

A compact Brandenburg town with a walkable central core of cafés and restaurants, Perleberg has held city rights since 1239 and serves as the district capital of Prignitz in northwestern Germany. Its long history includes a notable role as a garrison town, particularly for Prussian troops, and the town is known locally as the Roland Town — a reference to the Roland statue traditional to historic German market towns.
