Sitting between two lakes in British Columbia's Okanagan Valley, Penticton is a photogenic town with a walkable centre full of cafés and restaurants and easy access to the water on both sides. Okanagan Lake lies to the north and the smaller Skaha Lake to the south. The surrounding mountains host Apex Mountain, where World Cup Freestyle Skiing events draw winter visitors, while summer brings a busy seasonal tourism scene to the lakefronts.
