Pano Lefkara
Κύπρος · Cyprus
Pano Lefkara, a village in the hills of Cyprus, is known across the island for its traditional lace — called lefkaritika — and silver handicrafts, both still produced and sold here. The village's name reflects its setting, combining the Greek words for "white" and "mountains," a reference to the pale limestone and silica of the surrounding terrain. The wider region is ringed by UNESCO World Heritage sites.
