Coastal village in Chalkidiki founded in 1923 by refugees from Anatolia, Nea Flogita sits on a hill above the Thermaikos Gulf with views across the water to Mount Olympus on clear days. Its café and restaurant scene is notably dense for a village of its size, and the sea is within walking distance of most of the settlement. The wider region is ringed by UNESCO World Heritage sites.
