Najran
Saudi Arabia
Najran, a large city in southwestern Saudi Arabia, is home to Al-Ukhdood — an archaeological site mentioned in the Quran's Surah Al-Buruj — alongside one of the Arabian Peninsula's largest dams, Wadi Najran Dam. The surrounding mountains hold rock inscriptions and archaeological sites, while date palms and agricultural land shape the city's character. A regional capital with a heritage-rich centre, Najran draws on a long tradition of farming and trade in a corner of the country that borders Yemen.
