A town in southern Poland on the Raba River, Myślenice sits on the border between the Beskid mountains and the foothills, with the Zarabie district serving as its main tourist draw — a riverside area with ski lifts and a view tower on the slopes of Chełm hill. The town received its municipal charter in 1342 and lies within easy reach of Kraków, with a compact centre offering cafés and restaurants.
