Mizque
Bolivia
Valley town in Bolivia's Cochabamba Department whose Quechua name, Misk'i, means "sweet," Mizque sits along the river that shares its name, a main tributary of the Río Grande, with mountains close by. Its colonial history carries real weight: the town sent deputies to both the 1816 Congress of Tucumán, which declared Argentine independence, and the 1825 congress that declared Bolivian independence.
