Manzanares
Ciudad Real · Spain
Founded in the mid-13th century by the Order of Calatrava during the Christian resettlement of La Mancha, Manzanares is a wine-producing town in Ciudad Real sitting on the banks of the Azuer river. Its position at the crossroads of north–south and east–west routes through Castilla–La Mancha gave it lasting regional importance, and vineyards remain central to its economy and identity today.
