This river city in Colombia's Bolívar Department with a centre holding several historic churches, Magangué sits on the Magdalena River near the mouth of the Cauca and was once home to the country's largest port. The wider region includes UNESCO World Heritage sites, and the Magdalena's banks are within easy reach of the city centre.
