Lunenburg
Lunenburg · Canada
A UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1995, Lunenburg is a port town on Nova Scotia's South Shore whose original 1753 street layout and wooden vernacular architecture survive largely intact — making it what UNESCO considers the finest example of planned British colonial settlement in North America. The heritage-dense historic core is also a National Historic Site of Canada, and the town supports a real café and restaurant scene alongside several historic churches.
