Leszno

Poland

This walkable city in western Poland with a centre full of cafés and historic Baroque churches, Leszno was shaped by the powerful Leszczyński and Sułkowski magnate families, including King Stanisław Leszczyński, under whose patronage it became a major cultural and economic centre of Greater Poland. The city is also known for an annual air show drawing large international crowds, and as the home of Unia Leszno, one of Poland's most accomplished motorcycle speedway clubs.
