This small town on the San River in the Bieszczady mountains of south-eastern Poland, Lesko has a compact central core with cafés and restaurants and sits within reach of the wider Subcarpathian region's heritage. Founded as a private noble town in 1469, it serves today as the seat of Lesko County and makes a practical base for exploring the surrounding mountain terrain.
