Silver mining made Kutná Hora one of medieval Bohemia's wealthiest towns, and the architectural legacy it funded earned the historic centre — along with Sedlec Abbey and the Sedlec Ossuary — UNESCO World Heritage status in 1995. The town holds one of the largest concentrations of protected monuments in Czechia, with its churches among the most visited in the country. A walkable centre, a food-and-drink scene, and nearby vineyards round out the offer for visitors making the trip from Prague.
